Every day, damage inspectors from LA County Fire and CalFire are going from structure to structure in the Eaton and Palisades burn areas to assess the aftermath of the fires to structures, including homes and commercial spaces—an essential step in helping residents learn the condition of their properties as quickly as possible. The inspection teams are just one part of the multi-agency field work now going on to clear the way for residents to return and eventually rebuild. Their data is collected and uploaded to the damage inspection maps on recovery.lacounty.gov. These maps include photos of properties as well as an amount of the property damaged.
