After all work is approved, the County will issue a “Certificate of Occupancy” to verify that you are officially ready to move in.
Rebuild Fee Waivers & Refunds
On Tuesday, June 17, 2025, the LA County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved Supervisor Barger’s motion to waive and refund fees for qualifying property owners rebuilding single-family homes in unincorporated Los Angeles County following the Eaton and Palisades wildfires. To qualify, the property owner must have both owned and lived in the property being rebuilt prior to January 7, 2025. To learn more, click here.
