U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Clears 50% of Phase 1 Deferred Properties

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) has cleared 50% of the 4,499 properties deferred to it by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) during Phase 1 household hazardous materials (HHM) removal operations. The milestone comes just seven days after the EPA’s deadline for completing Phase 1 work in wildfire-affected areas. read more

FEMA Extends Deadline to Apply for Wildfire Disaster Assistance

Los Angeles County homeowners and renters who suffered uninsured or underinsured damage to their property from the January wildfires have a few weeks left to apply for federal disaster assistance. FEMA has extended the application deadline to Monday, March 31, 2025. read more

LA County Sues Edison Over Eaton Fire, Seeking to Recover Costs and Damages Due to Widespread Devastation

Los Angeles County filed suit today against Southern California Edison and Edison International (SCE) to recover costs and damages sustained by the County from the Eaton Fire.
