Today, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced that the agency has completed its work to assess, remove, and safely dispose of household hazardous materials from areas burned by the catastrophic Eaton and Palisades wildfires.

Los Angeles County gratefully acknowledges $8 million in wildfire relief grants from FireAid, which will be used to support direct assistance to impacted residents, workers and small businesses.

Starting today, Los Angeles County residents directly impacted by the 2025 Los Angeles County Eaton and Palisades fire and windstorm events can apply for financial assistance through the LA County Household Relief Grant.

Homeowners, renters and businesses in Los Angeles County who experienced property damage or losses from the January wildfires have less than two weeks left to apply for federal disaster assistance.

The Disaster Recovery Centers in Altadena and at UCLA Research Park West will be closed on Sundays effective February 24, 2025. The new operating hours will be Monday through Saturday, 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
